National Identity To be Preserved

SYDNEY, Dec. 20. The conditions that will apply to the training of the comparatively small aumber of Australian airmen who will go to Canada under the Empire air scheme were announced by the Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. Menzies. Mr. Menzies said that the British Government had agreed to take steps to preserve the national identity of the representatives of each country. The main points of the agreement are to operate at once and remain in force until March 31, 1943. The Government of Canada will act as administrator of the scheme, with the assistance of a supervisory board on which all parties to the agreement will be represented.
