Levin Stock Sale
There was a good attendance of buyers at the weekly stock sale iu Levin on Tuesday. Large entries of stock came forward in all sections and met with a keen demand throughout. Practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer at prices on a par with recent ruling rates. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report having sold at the following prices:— Pigs: Light porkers, 295, 325, 34*, 375, 38s, £2, £2 3s 6d, £2 ss; medium do., £2 7s 6d, £2 Bs, £2 10s, £2 lls, £2 12s; heavy do., £2 16s, £2 18s, £3, £3 3s, £3 ss, £3 6s, £3 7s, £3 9s, £3 10s; weaners, 6s, 9s 6d, 10s 6d, 11s; slips, 12s 6d, 16s, 17s Gd; stores, 20s, 21s 6d. 22s 6d, 25s 6d, 275. Sheep: Fat hoggets, 19s Id to 235; fat lambs, 19s 3d to 245; fat ewes, to 275; fat wethers, to 20s 6d. Cattle: Vealers, £2, £2 7s, £2 10s, £2 15s, £3, £3 ss, £3 6s, £3 12s 6d; runners, £3 18s Gd, £4, £4 3s; light fat cows, £3 7s 6d, £3 12s 6d, £3 17s Cd, £4 £4 7s 6d, £4 12s Gd; medium do., £5. £5 10s, £5 15s, £6; heavy do., £7 5s to £7 10s; two-year heifers, £3 15s; P.A. yearling steers, £3 10s; store cows, 30,3 to £2.
