Masterton Rant Fair

STEADY DEMAND REVEALED. Per Press Association. MASTEItTON, Last Night. Uniformly good prices and a stoady demand throughout, made the opening day of the Masterton A. and P. Association’s annual ram fair one of the best sales of recent years. Buyers exercised keen discrimination. The quality of the sheep generally was good. Flock Romneys sold up to 26 gns. at» compared with 18 gns. last year. The highest price for stud Romneys was 45 gus. against 90 gns. last year, the difference being accounted for principally because the condition and quality of studs this year were not as high as those offered at the last fair. There was a surprisingly good demand for flock Lincoln rams, top price being 20 gns. Southdowns will be offered tomorrow.
