Waipawa News

The Rev. Cecil and Mrs Taylor, of Te Aroha, are at present on a visit to Waipawa, and are the guests of Mr and Mrs Edward Bibby, of Matthew street.

Mr C. Barker has returned to Waipawa from his visit to Wellington, where he conducted the defence at the trial,of Mrs Aves.

Mr and Mrs E. W. Bond have returned to Waipawa from a holiday visit to Gisborne.

•Mr W, V. Hobin, a member of the Waipawa Municipal Band, who has been transferred to Palmerston North, was presented with an electric iron in appreciation of his services when the band resumed practice after tho holiday period. Mr Hobin had been a member ,of tho band since its inception, and the bandmaster, Mr E. J. Maher, made reference to the loss suffered by his departure.
