Waipawa Hospital Board Secretary to Remain
BUT VICE-CHAIRMAN HANDS IN RESIGNATION. (Special to "Times.") WAIPUKURAU, Feb. IS 4 ‘That tho members of this board express confidence in the chairman and finance committee for the action taken in connection with the recent trouble. That, having thoroughly investigated the whole matter, and members having individually expressed their opinion. it was decided that the services ot the managing secretary should b© retained for a three-months probationary period, the master to be again reviewed at the May meeting of the board." Tho foregoing is the official state inent issued to the Press, by tht Waipawa Hospital Board after . its meeting held in committee yesterday afternoon to consider certain happenings which had taken place since the previous meeting. Mr R. A. Fraser, dcputy-cliairman oi the board, walked out of the meeting, Mr Fraser, in nr
morning, said that he had handed in his resignation as a member of th. board and had left the commTttot meeting because he was dissatisfied with tho way in which the chairman, Mr W. H. Rathbono, had conducted the inquiry. Ho did not wish to say any more than that at this stage. An auditor of the Health Department was at tho Waipukurau Hospita, offices yesterday. Member Resigns.
Mr. B. G. Atkins, the Waipukuiv Borough representative on the Wai pawa Hospital Board, has resigned bu refused to state his reasons for doing so when informing a “Times" representative of his decision this morning.
