Pahiatua Cricket Club
NEW OFFICERS APPOINTED. A meeting of the Cricket Club was held on Tuesday night, Mr. D. L. Comrie being in the chair. A member re-’ ported that the Makuri Club desired a match with the club and it was agreed to play the former on Sunday, February 28 at Makuri, subject to the latter date being acceptable. / Mr. D. L. Comrie was elected field captain (vice Mr. Jack McKay) and Mr. L. Barraclough will fill the form'er's place as vice-captain. ! The chairman appealed to members to turn up for a working bee at the pitch on Thursday evening. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday of next week.
