Farmers Fight Dust Storms
CROPS OF WHEAT BLOWN OUT BY WIND. United Press Association —By Electrle Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 11.30 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 17. A message'from Guymon states that a second storm of black dust swept to Oklahoma panhandle. Farmers assembled giant listers, chisel ploughs and torracers to groove the shifting top soil into hard ridges. Wheat blew out in many places. Meanwhile red dust struck the Texas coastal and Rio Grande valley cities for the first time in two years. Light rains settled the dust in the Texas panhandle and the eastern border of New Mexico. The winds have subsided in most of Western Kansas and <til Oklahoma except the panhandle.
