Fireman Henry, of the Hastings Fire Brigade, who has been transferred to Napier, was met by members of the Hastings brigade and presented with.a momento of his nine years' service with the Hastings brigade. Mr E. G. Dowrick, who has been attending the New Zealand Master Plumbers’ Conference at Wanganui, has j cturned to W'aipukurau. Miss V. Hammond, Hunterville, is the guest of Mr and Airs W. R. Stead, fc?t. Aubyn street, Hastings. Miss Betty Marvern, Havelock North, has left to commence her training at the Alasterton Hospital. > Airs C. Giblin, Waipukurau, if the guest of Mrs W. L. Rutledge, Afatawai, * ' Gisborne. Mrs E. J. Gwynne, Wanganui, is visiting Mrs Orriuge, Napier. Mrs and Aliss Hay, Hastings, spent last week-end in Umutaoroa, renewirg old friendships. Mrs C. E. Cochrane and her daughter, Mrs D. Tapp, have returned to the Waikato from a trip to Gisborne and Napier. Mr and Mrs Brady, of Hastings, Jp&ve been visiting Mrs L. Nixon, Wanganui, j Air and Mrs C. Linwood, of Napier, are visiting Wanganui. Air and MVs A Tasker have returned to Wanganui from Hawke’s Bay, rtkere they were the guests of Airs T. Tasker, Greenmeadows. Airs Barton and Miss Phyllis Oldham, of Taihape, were visitors to Hawke’s Bay for the Pidgeon—Hill wedding.
