A. Duncan and D. Jones, paid a visit to Palmerston North yesterday. The Commission did not deal with the question of zoning the Manawatu dairy factory area, owing to the fact that the two local nominees appointed to make preliminary investigations and draw up a sketch plan had not completed their work. Sir Francis Frazer stated that it was not known when this information would be available, but the matter would have to be disposed of within the next few months. «» <«> <S> <s> In the Magistrate's Court yesterday Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., granted an adjournment until March 23 of the case in which Len Smith, musician, of Palmerston North, is claiming the sum of £2lO from Vincent Ryan comedian, and Scnia Chostiakoff, singer, for alleged wrongful dismissal. For Smith, Mr U. I. McGregor said the adjournment would not be opposed as iio had been advised by Mr H. R. Cooper, for the defendants, that the money would in the meantime be paid either into Court or into a trust account. An application had been made to have evidence heard in Invercargill on Monday, but this had not been proceeded with.
