Miss V. Blamires, formerly of Fcilcling, who recently passed the perform ers’ examination for violin, gaining the diploma A.R.C.M., and who has also been granted an extension of her exhibition for one year, played the Lalo Symphonic Espagnole at one of the recent college orchestral concerts, states a London correspondent. Miss B. Blamires has joined the Group Theatre in London, and is taking as well as her dramatic work, special movement classes with Renata Rui, and is studying choral speaking under Rupert Doone. She played a Mendelssohn piano concerto at a recent college concert, her sister Vivienne leading the orchestra. The director, Sir Hugh Allen, personally congratulated them on tho performance.
