HASTINGS TEAM SELECTED. (Special to "Times.”) HASTINGS, Last Night. The following team has been chosen to represent the Hastings Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club in defence of the Tom Parker Shield at the Hawke’s Bay —Poverty Bay Centre championships at Napier on Saturday, February 27. If any competitor chosen is unable to compete he is requested to notify the secretary immediately:— Men’s Events. —100 yards: E. Shuk er, J. C. Hare, P. Begley and F. Sharpley. 220 yards: J. C. Hare, D. Bott and F. Sharpley. 440 yards: P. Begley and V. Hallagan. 880 yards: R. Cooper and V. Hallagan. One mile: R. Morley, B. Anderson, G. Ready and Todd Taylor. Three miles: R. Morley, Todd Taylor, C. Wright and B. Anderson. 120 and -20 yards hurdles: F. Sharpley. 440 yards hurdles: P. Begley and E. Shuker. 'ielay: Hastings. Field Events.—Hop, step and jump: J. Shuker. Long jump: E. Shuker. Javelin: G. Allingham and E. Shuker. Discus: G. Allingham. Shot-putt: G. Allingham. Hammer; G. Allingham. Women’s Events.—7syds.: Misses R. Tong, W. Swayne, M. Urquhart and E.
