MINISTERS’ MAKE TOUR. Her Press Association INVERCARGILL., Last Night. “Tho Isle of Forgotten People” (Hon. T. F. Doyle’s description of Stewart Island) is now to have the light of Ministerial attention focussed upon it. The Minister of Public Works, lion. 11. Semple, who is visiting tho island accompanied by the Minister of Mines, Hon. P. C. Webb, promised deputations that a comprehensive survey of the island would bo made as early as possible with the object of ascertaining the potential value of the island industrially and from a tourist viewpoint. “The Government,” he said, “is determined to explore the resources of every part of the Dominion and Stewart Island will not be forgotten as it appears to have been up to now.’*
