George Wallace Season
Mike Connors and Queenie Paul will present their big company of 33 revue stars at the Opera House, commencing to-morrow night for a season of three nights. The company is headed by that droll Australian comedian, George Wallace, who can always be relied on to amuse any audience with his very laughable sketches and clever falls, and supporting the comic are a number of headliners in the vaudeville world, including Minnie Love, the musical comedy favourite; Nellie Nolle, the wellknown male impersonator; Lulla Fanning, comedienne; the “Marcella Trio,’’ adagio dancers; the Bussell Bros., acrobats; Delaney and Butt (of ‘‘Whitt Horse Inn”), Leo Trenettc, tenor; Jimmy Coates, instrumentalist; Harry Lock and Edna Hardy, tap dancers; Rex and Bessie, and the “Sunkist” beauty ballet, whose dancing and dressing is remarkably good, and, of course, Connors and Paul themselves, with the vocal act that they have made so popular everywhere. The opening production is entitled “Calling AJI Stars.”
