Motor Truck Hurled a Chain

CROSSING COLLISION; DRIVER INJURED. Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, Feb. 12. A half-ton truck driven by William Heather, a married man, of Otaika road, Whangurei, struck the north express at the Kensington level crossing this morning. The truck was completely wrecked, tho main body being hurled for more than a chain.

Heather was admitted to the Wliangarei Hospital in a serious condition, suffering from a fracture of the base of the skull and severe facial injuries. He was deeply unconscious on admission and hi 3 condition was considered grave.
