PALERMO, February 11. The Lindberghs “took-off” for Tripolo en route tor Cairo. Their trieuds say that they did not divulgJ their plans, but are apparently continuing their flight southward or eastward from Cairo, probably to South Africa. membered nothing more, until he caine to again outside tho doorway, with McKenzie across tho entrance, axe iu hand. The defence was a denial of the charges against John and Lawrcuce Kilminster, a plea of justification on grounds of sell-defence being advanced in the case of Frederick. It was suggested he had taken the law iuto his own hands and set out to avenge his brother’s injuries. “I am quite satisfied you did commit an assault,” said the Magistrate addresing John Kilminster. “You took off your coat, vest and shirt and if that’s not a threatening attitude 1 would liko to know what is. I am prepared to convict and discharge you. “You,” said the Magistrate to Frederick Kilminster, ‘ ‘ are in qiute a different category. You made three premeditated assaults. You took the law into your own hands instead of communicating with the police. There is, in my opinion, no justification for your brutal attacks. You will be fined £5 with costs.”

To Lawrence Kilminster the Magistrate said there was no doubt he had taken part in the assaults but just to what extent it was difficult to say. “j am quite satisfied, however, that you went along to help your brother Frederick avenge John’s injuries and that your assaults were also premeditated. You will be fined £3 and ordered to pay the cost of repairing Reuben Mehlhopt's teeth.”

For being unlawfully in possession of an automatic iristol John Kilminster was fined £5.
