(To the Editor.) Sir, —Your correspondent “Astronomic" thinks “that it is well we have no control over the weather," yet he is wailing tmuaupo 4 4 we are back to wind and ram again." Such inconsistency suggests that to obtain full control of the weather it may be necessary first to get control of humanity, find start with birth control, as, obviously, if the reproduction of the human species wap guided with the scientific care which the farmer and stock-breeder finds so necessary for the perfection of his produce, flocks and herds, the standard of intelligence of the community would be so much advanced in one generation that such emaciated and foolish arguments as ( expressed by your correspondent would.
