Speeding Up Promotions of Italian Officers

Cabinet has decided to increase tho number of long service officers "in the light of a new necessity” to speed up promotion of young officers showing ability, as there are too many elderly officers who will be ruthlessly axed. The decree refers to the need of active and constant vigilance on the frontiers. It adds that the present and future needs of the Empire have decidedly altered the army requirements.
