Up to 9 o’clock to-night the actun. whereabouts of William Chaney and hi 3 son, of Otaki, who on Monday afternoon left Otaki Forks on the first stage of a journey iuto the Tararua foothills in quest of the then missing tramper Elmo Bartosh, now returned, had not been discovered. No anxiety is felt, however, for the welfare of the searchers who are experienced in bush craft and aro well equipped with provisions.
