Giant Eagle Attacks Plane
STRANGE DUEL IN MIDAIR United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy righ t. Received Wednesday, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 10. The Milan correspondent of the Times says a dramatic duel between a giant eagle and an aeroplane is reported from Addis Ababa. The eagle with a wing span of 11 feet attacked a plane returning from frontier inspection. The occupants machine-gunned the bird which struck the machine, breaking off several parts and wounding the pilot in the forehead with a blow from its beak. Finally it was hit by a bullet and fell dead. The plane made a forced landing because of the damage.
