Fine fields havo been carded for the opening of the Egmont Racing Club’s autumn meeting to-day and there should be some good racing, with the appearance of the Melbourne Cup winner, Wotan, as an added attraction for racegoers. The betting will be' under the win and place system and well-backed horses are likely to be as under:— Ohawe Hurdles: Don Erma, Royal Routine. Flying Handicap: Wotan, Notium, Clessaxnor.
