An inter-club tennis match, Foxton v. Levin, played on Saturday afternoon, resulted In a decisive win for Levin, the final scores being as follow: Levin 13 sets (123 games.); Foxton 3 sets (79 games). Several of the games were evenly contested and some excellent tnnis was witnssed. The details of play are as follow, Foxton players being mentioned first:— Men's Sinngles: L. Baywell lost to Tuoby I—9; A. Martin beat Thompson 9—7, D. Chrystall lost io Thomson 7 —9, R. Read lost to Adams 4—9. Ladles’ Singles: Miss E. Francis lost to Miss Anderson 4—7, Miss M. Thynne lost to Mrs Astley 2—7, Mrs V. Husband lost to Miss Blenkhorn 2—7, Miss L. Thompson lost to Miss Vickers 2—7. Men's Doubles: L. Say well and A. Martin lost to Tuohy and Thompson 6—9, D. Chrystall and R. Read lost to Adams and Thompson 7 —9. Ladles' Doubles: Misses E. Francis and M. Thynne beat Miss Anderson and Mrs Astley 7—6, Mrs V. Husband and Miss I*. Thomson lost. to Misses Blenkhorn and Vickers 4—7. Mixed Doubles: L. Saywell and Miss K. Francis lost to Tuohy and Miss Anderson 3—9, A. Martin and Miss M. Thynne lont to Thomson and Mrs Astley 4—9, D. Chrystall and Mrs V. Husband lost to Thomson and Miss Blenkhorn B—lo, R. Read and Miss L. Thompson beat Adams and Miss Vickers 9—3.
