Combined Trade Union Picnic Committee

PALMERSTON NORTH. At a meeting of the above committee Sunday, 7tli AJarch, was fixed for the Trade Union picnic to take pluce at tho Ashhurst racecourse. Alany trade unions were represented both from Palmerston North and Feilding, while Tokomaru signified their intention of being present if transport arrangements were available, ft is anticipated that a large number of trade unionists will be present from all jiarts of the district. No stone has been left unturned to make tho duy a great success both for children and adults. Special train arrangements arc also being made while sports of every kind will u o indulged in. Two largo donations have been given towards a trade union cup, while tho local business people have been very generous in donating trophies, sweets, etc. Unions are now busy making provision for their members and families.
