An anti-cyclone covered New Zealand this morning, the centre being to the north, but it is now passing away eastwards and a moderate depression is moving on to tho South Island. Winds: North to north-west light to moderate generally but lresheuing in tho Look Strait area; temporary change to south-westerlies to-night in the southern halt of the bouth island. beus (New Zealand waters): blight to moderate but rising shortly in the Look btruit area and at times in the lar south. Eastern Tasman bea: Light to fresh northerly winds but a change to southwesterhes advancing from the south west; seas moderate to rather rough. Weather: Cloudy to overcast in the western and far southern districts of the bouth Island with scattered rain developing; elsewhere fair to lino but lain extending slowly northward during Wednesday. Temperatures warm.
