A complaint that all kinds of refuse was being deposited by campers in the river at Waimarama was made by Cr. R. Harding at the meeting of the Hawke Bay County Council. Cr. Harding explained that bathing in tho stream had been made practically impossible as the result of t. refuse. The council decided that active steps should be taken to have tho practice stopped, and in future steps will be taken against any offenders.
