Motorists using the road to Wanganui on Sunday last had yet another grim reminder of the result of speed. There on the roadside stood a car with its offside wheel and mudguard battered beyond human aid, while a few yards behind it lay a truck with all four wheels pointing heavenwards. Just how it hajipened is a problem passing motorists tried to solve. A wide road, gentle curve, low gorse hedges. And yet—.
