From Our Own Correspondent Presentation to Mr J. T. Edwards by All Saints’ Choir. A pleasing little ceremony took place at the conclusion of choir practice at All Saints' Church on Thursday evening, when Mr H. A. Hannay (choirmaster) on behalf of the choir members, called on Air J. T. Edwards to accept a pipe as u small token of appreciation and esteem for the valuable help rendered the choir oh many occasions. Mr Hannay also extended best wishes to Air Edwards lor the future. Mr Hannay's remarks were endorsed by Air E. C. Murphy (secretary), who conveyed the choir s regards and appreciation to Mr Edwurds. Mr Edwards m acknowledging the gilt and remarks, said it had been a pleasure to him to give the assisLance he had. Druids Meet. Bro. Dalgety presided over a meeting of the U.A.0.D., which was held on Thursday evening. One member was reported on the sick list. P.D.P. Bro. AleKnight was elected as the official delegate from the local Lodge. The following team was selected to represent the Lodge in the Ritual Shield competition, which is to be Mi old In Poxton on March 4: A.D. Bro. Aludiord, V.A. Sister Ferris, i.G. Bro, Shorthouse, O.G. Bro. Harvey, J.P.A. Bro. Thomson, secretary, Bro. Podmore, A.D.B.’s. Bro Cull and Sister Shorthouse, V.A.B.’s. Bro. Mathers and Bro. Dalgety, coach and M.C., Sister Titcombe, pianisL, Bro. Titcombe. The announcement was made by D.P. Bro. AlcKnight that Bro. Swensson, of Otaki, had been successful in being elected to the position of D.P. for tho coming term and the|installation would take place at the nexr.meeting of the Otaki Lodge. A report was • given by Sister Titcombe on a visit to. I J ara- ' paraumu to attend the R.A.C. meeting. Methodist Ladies’ Guild. Mrs H. Berry (president) presided over a good attendance of the Alethodist Ladies’ Guild. A discussion ensued regarding'tho forthcoming effort which is to be held on March 23, and arrangements will be finalised at a later date. An enjoyable afternoon was brought to a close following the serving of afternoon tea by tho Guild members. Foxton Dorcas Society. Rev. C. W. Brown presided over the monthly, meeting of the Foxton Dorcas Society. Owing to the fact that both tho secretary and the president had left the district, Airs J. Symon was appointed to act as secretary and Rev. E. W. Burgin as president until the annual meeting of the Society on April 5, which will be the 1 date of the next meeting of the Society.
