Feilding Friendly Societies
The iveekly cards and dance function conducted by tho Feilding Foresters’ Lodge, drew another good attendance ot patrons on Saturday evening. Winners of the euchre iu the ladies 7 games were Mrs Stantiail first and Mrs King second. Air E. Wilson was lirst and Alessrs AEvans and E. Worfold second in the Supper was served by the committoe, at tho conclusion of tho cards, after which a short dance was held, Mr W. Towler being M.C. A programme of modern and old-tune numbers was rendered by Feeney 7 s orchestra. Aliss Herdman and Mr Prendcrgast were successful in tho Alonte Carlo waltz. Kowhai Kcbekah. The fortnightly meeting of the Kowhai Rebekah Lodge was presided over by tho N.G. Sister N. Ai. McFarland, a fair attendance of members being present. At the conclusion of the meeting tho challenge for the Dick and Lindsay Cup, previously received from Kiwitea Lodge, Feilding, was played for, the result being a draw, Kowhai still retaining the cup. After partaking of a dainty supper supplied by tho Sisters of the Kowhai Lodge, Brother Dewar, captain of Kiwitea’s team, thanked the Sisters for the happy and enjoyable evening. He hoped before long to be able to return again with the hope of having a win for Kiwitea. Sister Feakins, captain of Kowhai’s team, suitably replied on behalf of the Sisters. Auckland).
