Australian Girl’s Success As Actor Manager
Miss Kathleen Robinson, who was connected with tho first play produced at the new People’s Palace, in London, was somewhat amused at having been described as “an Australian sheep farmer. ’ ’
A young, statuesquo brunette, Miss Robinson is tho daughter of an owner of a sheep station in Wyalong, New South Wales. Six years ago sho went to London to study dancing at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and then went back to tour Australia under the banner of Damo Sybil Thorndike.
Miss Robinson’s interest is also in the managerial side of the theatre and sho is a director of Westminster Productions. Broadly speaking, her objective is to give the public first-class but not essentially “high-brow" plays at popular prices; so that the new People’s Palace is ideal for such a venture.
