In the trotting championship grand final Dan’s Son defeated Wrinkle and Joy’s John by half a head. The winner’s gait was 2.13 0-10. Lawn Derby was a close fourth in 2.13 7-10, establishing the fastest time. Marble Bath was withdrawn. Dan’s Son was purchased in the sale ring for eleven guineas. His sire was Dan Bells. Forty thousand were present.
