Tho attendance was good and the course iu fast order. Totalisator investments amounted to £20,320 10s, as compared with £10,522 10s last year. ! When tho course proper was reached the leaders from a bunched field were Rebel Mate, Made Money, Primak, Dictate and Lustral. in a close finish Made Money beat Rebel Mato by a neck, with Primak three lengths away and Dictate fourth. Time, 1.13. MIDDLE PARK PLATE, of £300; 6 furlongs. 2- PAPER SLIPPER, 10.0 (Hurnprles) 1 1-1 Royal Chief, 8.9 (A. E. Ellis) .. 2 5- Lazybones, 7.9 (Jennings) .... 3 Also started: 2-2 Mob Rule (bracketed with the winner), 5-5 Epic, 4-4 Mercenary, 6-6 Princess Roma. Tho oarly leaders were Lazybones, Royal Chief and Mercenary. When the course proper was reached Lazybones lod from Royal Chief, Mercenary, Paper Slipper and Mob Rule, In the run home Paper Slipper drew out to win by three lengths from Royal Chief, with Lazybones a head away and Mercenary fourth. Manetho, Davolo and Piord were the first to show out followed down tho back by Queen of Bong, Wild Chase, Palady, Vintage and Argentic. The leaders wore the same at tho far turn and crossing tho top Manetho led Lound tho home bend from Davolo, Fiord, Wild Chase and Queen of Bong. Davolo drew out to win by two- lengths from Wild Chaso with Queen of Bong a longth away. Manetho was fourth. Time, 2.6. HALS WELL HANDICAP, of £200; about 9 furlongs. 1-1 WILLIE WIN, 8.9 (A. E. Arrowrose and Concertpitch were the early leaders and led across the top from Rebel Knockfin, Epris, Gaysome and Great Star. Arrowrose was followed into the straight by Rebel Chief, Concertpitch and Knockfin, but Concertpitch did the best to win by a length from Rebel Chief, Knockfin two lengths away and Gaysome fourth.
