Tho oarly leaders were Lazybones, Royal Chief and Mercenary. When the course proper was reached Lazybones lod from Royal Chief, Mercenary, Paper Slipper and Mob Rule, In the run home Paper Slipper drew out to win by three lengths from Royal Chief, with Lazybones a head away and Mercenary fourth.
