Land Hunger a Myth
NO BID FOR FIVE FARMS WANGANUI, Feb. 3. “There has been a lot of talk of land hunger around Wanganui,’ said Mr G. F. Moore, at Harman's hall this afterj noon, wheu he offered by public auction j seven farms, two leasehold and five j freehold, the total area being 5488 j acres. “We will now see what there j L in this talk,” said Mr Moore. | The auction was then proceeded with, ! but not a single bid was received for the five freehold properties, and they were all passed in. The two leasehold properties were knocked down to the same person, Mr J. Newlands, of Waverley.
