From Our Own Correspondent Fin© weather has at last put in an ap« pearanee and every second of daylight is being utilised by farmers to get their haymaking finished. Boisterous weather last week made this work very difficult and the hay was blown off some of the paddocks and banked against the fences and trees. Grass-seed harvesting has returned lighter crops than were at first anticipated, the wet weather being very unsuitable lor threshing when the seed was at th© best stage of ripeness. Lack of warm, sunny weather has been responsible for the absence of bees in th© orchards and gardens and little honey is expected in consequence. Sheep are on tho move continually as many farmers are buying store lambs to replace fats, while others are kept busy attending fairs in the course of their seasonal work of buying and selling ewes.
