Greenkeepers Conclude Successful Conference

RESULTS OF GOLF COMPETITIONS. The conference of greenkeepers concluded in Palmerston North yesterday. The previous evening the annual dinner and social was held when the president. Mr. A. Seifert, was in the chair. Speeches w r ere made by the chairman and Mesrs. Madden, Horton, Biel and Mulligan after which the trophies won in the golf competition amongst the delegates were presented as follows: Ransom Championship Cup: F. Hazeidtn (Akaroa, Auckland), A. H. Ihle (Wanganui) runner-up. Vates Cup for best net score: A. H. Ihle with J. Galloway (Titirangi) runner-up. Btableford bogey (A. Seifert’s trophy): A. H. Ihle with J. Broughton (Palmerston North) runner-up (B. E. Keiller’s trophy). Pield handicap: F. Hazelden. Putting: J. Watson; runner-up, A. Biel (Hutt). Highest net score: A. Biel. The conference proved a most successful one.
