Pahiatua Show
A reminder is given that late entries for the Pahiatua Show, to be held on Friday, February 12th, close with the .secretary (Mr J. A. Walsh) on Saturday evening. Remarkably good entries have so far come to hand, and all the signs and auguries for a highly successful show are decidedly encouraging. The hack classes, jumping events and choj)ping contests have attracted very large entries, while in the cattle classes there will be many new exhibitors. Judging competitions in the sheep and cattle sections have been arranged for members of Young Farmers’ Clubs, the prizes being miniature cups. Judges appointed for the various sections are as follows: J: Hack classes and jumping competitions, IMr Bruce McKay, Waipukurau; draughts, Mr A. J. Suisted, Palmerston i North; Jerseys, Mr D. L. Leitch, Featherstou; dairy cattle, Mr J. Mitchell, Hopelands; Romney Marsh and farmers' classes, Mr R. J. MacDonald, Dannevirke; Southdowns, Mr P. D. McLacnlan, Opaki; dog trial, Mr J. llarvey, Waitahora. Tho judge for the fat sheep and fat lambs will bo appointed to-day.
