DUKE'S FORMER EQUERRIES LONDON, January 9. The wish among former equerries of Edward VIII, to share a voluntary exile with him as the Duke of Windsor liep behind the journey to Schloss Enzefeld of Commander C. E. Larnbe. Commander Larnbe has taken the place of Colonel the Hon. Piers Legh, who left England with the Duko when he abdicated, and has now returned to London. Though, as Edward VIII. the Duke did not wish to force any of his household to leave England with him, they insisted that they would spend a few weeks at a time with him until he could make definite plans about Ins entourage. At the time of his abdication he had three equerries—Colonel Legh, Commander Larnbe, and Flight Lieutenant E. H. Fielden. The appointments of members of the Royal household normally cease six months after a changa of Sovereign. It is therefore expected that the Duke will shortly invite certain of his friends to act in the capacity of equerfiee to him as a Royal Duke.
