PERSONALITIES

The Rev. J. S. Holland, a recent arrival from England, speaks at the Lunch Club to-day. His subject is ‘‘The Isle of Man.” Mr A. M. Lascciles will preside. Mr. W. B. Duthie, of Bunnythorpe, who has been, an inmate of tho Palmerston North Hospital for four weeks, is now progressing well towards recovery. The friends of Mr J. K. Hornblow, of Foxton, chairman of the Palmerston North Hospital Board, will regret to learn that ho is an inmate of hospital and will wish him a speedy return to health. Kev. F. A. Crawshaw, general secretary of tho Australian auxiliary of the mission to lepers, and formerly of Palmerston North, is a visitor to the city, and is the guest of Mr and Mrs Crabb, Summerhay street. Mr Crawshaw leaves for Wellington on Tuesday.
