Dressmaking
It is a good plan when making tho moro elaborate type of gown in any delicate fabric to leave open tho left side scam until tho garment is almost finished. By this means all pressing and neatening of seams and plackets, the joining of bodice to skirt, and all structural decorations, such as applique or pleatings, can bo carried out in the flat. Not only does this simplify the work considerably, but it avoids much handling of the material, thus ensuring that crisp freshne-ss which gives the finished garment a professional air.
