Funeral of Late Mrs J. W. Bibby
IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY The funeral of the la to Mrs J. W. Bibby, which took place at Waipawa on Tuesday, was very largely attended. Many came from long distances, the many organisations with which she had been connected being well represented. A short servico was held at her late residence in Rose stret afld then the ‘long cortege slowly made its way to the Hadley cemetery, where the mortal remains were laid in their last resting place. The services were conducted by the Rev. F. W. Robertson. Miss Nita Rosslyn, popularly known as the 4 ‘Girl in Red’ 7 owing to her all scarlet uniform, now in the concluding stages of her great journey throughout the length and breadth of New Zealand, has received the news of her mother’s. | death in Moss Side, Manchester, England. The cublegram mentioning tho news was a week old when received at Wairoa, it having followed Miss Rosslyn about from place to place on her tour. Miss Rosslyn’s tour of the world is purely educational, .as she is studying local customs, industries, songs and music. RARE DELICACY IN ORANGE CAKE. Cream J-cup butter with half of 32cups sugar. Add remainder of sugar with 3 beaten eggs. Add Btevcns’ “Cathedral Brand” Essence of Orange, lj-cups milk; and, lastly, salt, 3-cups flour and 3-teaspoons Bak ing Powder (sifted together). Cover with orange icing, flavoured with Stevens’ “Cathedral Brand” Essence of Orange.
