NORSEWOOD SALE Messrs Wiliams and Kettle Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale yesterday when they offered a good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs to a good attendance of the public. All classes of stock met with good competition and prices realised wore well up to lato rates. They quote as follows: — Sheep.—Fat lambs, 25s to 25s Gd; 130 5 and 6 ,yr. ewes, 28s; 113 5 and 6 yr. ewes, 21s Id; medium b.f. lambs, 12s 5d to 16s lOd; woolly ewe lambs good, 335; stom ewe lambs, 21s; small 2th wethers, 17s 2d; aged Romney rams, 13s to 30s; aged Southdown rams, 23s to 40s; 1 4th. Southdown ram, 4 gns. Cattle.—Fat Jersey cows, £4 Is; Jersey cows and heifers in milk, £3 2s 6d to £4; Jersey bulls, £4 11s to £5 2s Gd; store Jersey cows, £3 12s. Pigs. —Wcaner pigs, 13s 6d to 19s. The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-op. Association Ltd., report having yarded a good yarding of sheep and pigs and a fair one of cattle at the Norsewood sale held on Alonday, February 1. Prices obtained compared favourably with recent sales, enabling them to effect a total clearance as under: Sheep.—Fat ewes, 18s to £1 4s; fat wethers, £1 6s to £1 7s 4d; 2th. ewes, 34s Cd to 365; syr. ewes, £1 2s 6d to £1 8s 6d; store ewes, 12s 6d to 16s; Southdown rams, £1 Is to £4 4s; ewo lambs, £1 8s to £1 13s; small wether lambs, 9s to 12s Gd; medium sorts, 14s to 16 Gd. Cattle.—Fat dairy cows, £3 10s to £5 ss; store cows, £2 to £3 ss; potter bulls, £4 to £6. Pigs.—Weaner pigs, 14s to 19s; light porkers, £1 5s to £1 10s; porkers, £1 12s 6d to £2. ANNUAL SALE Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having conducted their annual sale at Ngaputahi, Pohangina, on Tuesday. The entry comprised 2360 ewes from the surrounding district, splendid quality showing through the yarding. The at tendance was large and each lot changed hands. Mr. 11. Beetham’s fivoyear ewes brought top price, 31s, and his 360 two-tooth ewes, 42s 9d. They quote the following sales:Account 11.
