CHANDLER ROSE BOWL FINAL ROUND (Special to “Times’ y WAIPUKURAU, Feb. 2. On the Mt. Vernon range on Saturday ufternodn, the members of the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club fired off tho final round of the Chandler Rose Bowl. Conditions for shooting were anything but perfect, and a strong wind which blew from all directions kept the riflemen thinking. The winner was Rifleman Bird who scored a popular win from Rifleman Renner. Details are as follow:

The following is the detailed resuit if the Chandler Rose -Bowl shooting, iho conditions being “the best two out jf three rounds to count.” When tho lin&l scores were added, Rifleman l’inney, with the-fine total of 131, wns one point ahead of Rifleman L, J Taylor, eenr.:—

19s 3d and payments on account of the Flock House scheme to £lO 19s Sd. Loans refunded by soldiers amounted to £122 2s lOd, and refunds on account of other societies to £39 10s. i Ih January 1937, grants amounting to £94 4s 9d were made to 26 soldiers, and grants to nine dependants to ££7 10s. Loans to 10 soldiers amounted to £77 19s 2d. Loans refunded by 23 soldiers totalI led £9B 19s 4d and refunds on account of i other societies by seven soldiers to £44 . 10s. Numerous soldiers’ cases were placed before the committee during the meetl ing, grants amounting to £59 17s 6d and a loan of £4 19s 2d being authorised. It » was decided to recommend to the cxocuItive of the association that a grant of £lO 11s 6d should be made.
