Woodville Show

On Saturday next, the 6th inst., the Woodville A. and I*. Association will stage on tho Woodvillo racecourse its 4ot.h annual show. Tho Woodville show is oue of the oldest institutions of its kind in the Hawke’s Bay district and tho forthcoming event promises to eclipse all previous records. Exceptionally good entries havo been received for all sections of tho show and the eommittoo ns making every effort to mako tho 1937 fixture attractive to the public and exhibitors. A comprehensive programme of ling events is arranged, including horse and pony leaping, dog trials, axemen’s events, a spectacular tree felling competition and an attractive programme of Highland dancing competitions. Rost entries for the daucing events are taken on tho ground. Two handsome gold medals arc donated for points prizes, most points gained by children 12 years and under and 36 years and under. Post entries are also accepted for the home industries section. Tho RuahiDO pipe band of 15 players will play selections during tho day arid will lead the grand parade which will take placo at 3.45 p.m. Patrons of Woodville’s 3937 show oau bo assured of a pleasant and attractivo gathering. Kvery event cun be viewed with comfort from tho spacious grandstands provided free of charge.
