Colin Tapley Makes Eleventh Film
Colin Tapley, who appears as a purter In Paramount's “The Keturn of fcrophio Lang,“ currently appearing at the Regent theatre, is the son of the former Mayor of Dunedin, and was a member of the English Royal Air Service at ouo time. Tapley went to America as the guest of Admiral Byrd after his father had aided the first Byrd expedition. His first movie was in Paramount’s “Search for Beauty,” following his winning a world-wide contest staged for the film. “The Return of Sophie Lang,” starring Gertrude Michael and Sir Guy Standing, is his eleventh picture. Anna Lee, star of “King Solomon’s Mines,” helped the Gaumont-British studio chef to make Christmas puddings. <3> <S> Sonja Henie, Olympic ice-skating champion and figure-skating title holder of the world, makes her screen debut in the 20th Century-Fox lavish musical extravaganza, ‘‘Girl iu a Million.” Don Ameche, Adolpho Menjou, Dixie Dunbar, Ned Sparks, Jean Hersholt and Arline Judge aro capable supporting cast.
