Feilding Aero Club

PURCHASE OP ’PLANE CONTEMPLATED. At the meeting of the committ< of the Feilding Aero Club held on Mondav evening ana presided over by Mr. D. C. Cullinane (president) a sub-committee was set up to go into the question of purchasing a new Miles Eight aeroplane. This particular type of machine is authorativciy recommended as being very suitable for training purposes auu the club considers that il should secure the best possible machine available. It is estimated that the machine will cost in me vicinity of £I6OO. The question of proceeding with the erection ol hangar accommodation was discussed at length and it was agreed that a building Colt. by 40ft. should be erected, it is uunerstood that an offer of the Miison hangar has been made to the ciuo and the meeting agreed to leave the matter in the hands of Mr. Collins for a report, in addition to the hangar accommodation it was decided to proceed with the erection of accommodation for a custodian as well as club rooms for the use of visiting pilots. Building operations are expected to be under way this month. Those present at tne meeting were Messrs. E. Fair, J. Penney, M. Hawaii, E. W. Barnett, B. Short, T. Collins and K. M. Little.
