Almost Everyone Buying Oysters

FIRST OF SEASON IN INVERCARGILL. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. The first oysters of the 1937 season arrived at Invercargill this afternoon. Merchants said to-night that the oysters were in excellent condition and the beds were very satisfactory giving good prospects for the season. Northern orders were also good and tho first full consignments for northern towns would leave to-morrow. To-day in Invercargill almost everyone was buying oysters and iu some shops they were being sold as fast as they could bo bottlod.
