Tender Let for Christchurch City Airport

Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. To day a contract for the preparation of the city airport at Harewood was signed, the tenderer being C. M. Brown and Co., Ltd. Most of the work will be done by the sub-contractor Gough, Gough and Hamer, who will level the whole area using modern machinery. Brown and Co. will do such incidental work as providing water, supply fencing aud diverting water courses. The work will occupy about 33 mouths and the cost will be £13,850. The Government subsidy will be betw.eeu £6OOO and £BOOO.
