Later, he left by car for Wellington. <s> <s> There was an echo of the sensational Pluto-McMahon boxing* match which ended when the former struck the referee, when the executive of the Manawatu Boxing Association met last evening. It came in tho form of a letter from tho New South Wales ProtedHionaJ Boxers’, Managers’ and Trainers’ Association, Sydney, which asked for full evidence on Pluto’s conduct. “Pluto being a member of this body, will have questions to answer in striking the referee,” the secretary’s letter added. “I might mention that we w’ould be pleased to receive any information on the conduct of New South Wales boxers when in your country.” The Manaw'atu executive is referring tho request to tho New Zealand BSxing Association which has all the evidence. The resignation of Mr. B. McV.ath, of Fcilding, from the executive of the Manawatu Boxing Association, was received at a meeting of the executive last night with regret. The secretary was instructed to forward him a letter of thanks for services rendered the association.
