Even More Thrills At City Speedway

FAST RIDING; EXCELLENT NOVELTY EVENTS PROMISED To-morrow oveniug (Wednesday), what promises to be the greatest night’s entertainment ever offered to the public of this district will be staged at the local speedway. Tho programme comprises 25 events, all of which are guaranteed to give a thrill to the onlookers. In view of the probable early departure of the American riders to Australia, this will be the last chance to see their daring and spectacular riding and stunting. The events comprise 13 straightout motor-cycling races iu which the successful Alanawatu team, which includes the Americans, will compete against the four best riders from the Christchurch speedway. There are two four-lap midget car races of three cars each, with a final of six laps in which the four fastest midgets will compete. These events alone will be worth going to sec. Owing to the fact that Putt Alossman has not been able through various causes, to successfully show his wonderful versatility at the local speedway, ho is giviug as a special support to the speedway programme a scries of his best stunting events. She is doing it to get a thrill, and though many have seen her in Palmerston North during the past few years they will never guess Her name.
