Makerua Plains

From Our Own Correspondent Mrs W. Aliers, with her sons and daughter, is spending a holiday at Paraparaumu Beach. Air and Mrs J. Hansen, with baby daughter Jean, were noticed enjoying the Highland Pipe Band contest in Palmerston North. Air Hansen himself is no mean exponent on the bagpipes and occasionally the Makerua Plains re-echo to the stirring strains of the Pibroch, as well as | marches and the plaintive music of the Coronach. Airs V. Claridge’s guests have returned to their homes, Airs F. Gaskin and Anetlo Claridgo to Eketahuna and Pat Fredrickson to the Alarton district. Wairarapa visitors to the Alakerua Plains are Mrs W. Barkworth and daughter June, who are the guests of Air and Airs Graham-Smith. Als G. Southee has returned to her home in Wellington after staying with Air and Airs R. Southee.
