New Zealand Nurses’ Christian Union

ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Nurses’ Christian Union was held in Wellington on Friday evening, when a report was read by Miss J. Banison, South Island secretary, and a short address given by Mrs. Tythc Brown, the retiring president. Dr. Gordon Anderson was in the chair. Miss Samson’s report showed an inefeaso of 103 members in the N.C.U., making a grand total of 1200. New groups have been formed at Blenheim and Gore, and a scattered nurses’ group started in Oamaru. The financial position was satisfactory, the balance-sheet showing a credit balance of £3O. Miss Bamsou said that notable throughout the year had been tho feoling of cooperation and goodwill between the Nurses’ Christian Union and other youth movements in the Dominion. A pleasing factor in the present conference was that all denominations were lepreseuted, which augured well for the future. Bho hoped that the conference would result in renewed consecration for all.
