Feilding’s Mayoress Entertains Governor-General
On Friday Mrs. T. Collins (Mayoress) entertained Viscount Galway at an afternoon at “To Whare Koa,” her homo in Denbigh street, to afford him the opportunity of meeting tho wives of the councillors. Tho outstandingly beautiful decorations in the drawing room were carried out with dahlias which among richly tinted foliage were seen to the greatest advantage. Mrs. Collins, who served a delicious afternoon tea, wore for tho occasion a graceful model gown of beige lace over taffeta. Viscount Galway, accompanied by Captain Stuart-French, stayed quite a while discussing topics of interest to everyone and the afternoon proved an exceedingly pleasant one. Those present wero Mesdames R. H. Buc Vo nan, E. Fair, A. McCorkindale, W. W. Andrews, G. J. Fitzpatrick, V. Smith, P. G. Guy, G. Darragh, C. E. Taylor, 0. B. Purcell, S. Tate and R. Benge, Misses K. Carthew, P. McCorkindale, Althea Castle (Wellington), and Messrs. T. Collins, C. H. Tate, J. B. Purcell and Fitpatrick.
